The premier Bards College of Tamriel, situated in Solitude, the capital of Skyrim, grew in popularity and influence, with new institutes built in other provinces throughout the Fifth Era.
The College trains both bards who want to simply play music for money, but also others who want to use music to cast spells. The latter group are contracted to go on adventures and find relics of past Eras, and to write new epics about their adventures.
