The Whiterun University is a relatively recent organization which was founded by the new government of their city. Its sole purpose is to educate the masses, not in magic or combat, not in criminal activities, but general knowledge, in a bid to make Whiterun the hub of scholars.
Some of the more important departments of the University are History, Politics, Medicine, and Philosophy.
Researchers are contracted as freelancers, expert speakers are paid to give lectures on topics they are respected for their knowledge on.
