The monk who started it all

After the chaos in the Opera House, the group took the little girl to the temple for protection, and took hold of the Staff she was carrying. They eventually found out that it was a cursed staff that would spawn a group of Scamps every so often. These daedric creatures would be neutral to those around them, but they would go feral if anyone attacked them. However, if they were not dealt with quickly, they would keep respawning, creating a deadly loop of fire and ash, until nothing is left. Asking their contact at the temple what to do, they were told that they should find a way to dispose of it, without causing any chaos.

As soon as the group left the temple, a courier came running towards them, handing them a letter; “a man in rags sent you this, your eyes only”.

The note told the party to meet a man called Aredanus Blackwell at the World’s End, a sleazy bar in the Waterfront District that Brother Decimus knew of. The group made it there, being welcomed by a boisteorus barwoman who told them that Blackwell is living in a room at the back. When the party made their way there, a blind monk was waiting for them.

What this man said revealed a lot about what has been going on in the lives of the party, but still left much unanswered. This man was the one who discovered a prophecy a while back, a prophecy which was written millennia ago, but included each of their names. This prophecy, however, was lost, and he looked to the Elder Scrolls to find information about it.

The prophecy speaks of a Magna-Ge, one of the ancient spirits who are referred to as Aedra and Daedra, who was erased from the colelctive memory of all mortals and immortals, by none other than Hermaeus Mora, the god of knowledge and secrets. Aredanus believes that the group is fated to be the ones to decide who to side with, Mora or the missing god.

Luckily, the group includes a Dwemer, Nerk. He doesn’t really know how he survived the extinction of the Dwemer race, but he did remember what Mirrormoor is, a place mentioned in the prophecy. According to the Dwemer, Mirrormoor is the Realm that belongs to Ithelia, the Godess of Fate.

At this point, the Moth Priest told the group that, even though this is their fate, they are not ready to face it yet, and that they should go on adventures together to become stronger. To prove this, he challenged one of them to one-on-one combat. Hisskär took the challenge. The Moth Priest, although blind, proved to be quite the warrior, knocking the argonian unconscious in a few seconds, but bringing him back to consciousness immediately thereafter.
