Meetings and Information

As the party was cleaning up after dealing with the Black Bow Bandits, they took a good night’s rest inside the cave system itself. Upon waking up, however, they were visited once again by a familiar Watchling, now being called Bauble by the party. Bauble told the group that its master, Bralen, had discovered new information and that they should meet him as soon as possible. Some of the information pertained to someone called Thorvesad, a Dremora who was in the service of Ithelia, the Daedric Prince who is being brought back.

After their encounter with the small Daedric creature, the party made its way down to the farming village, where they recruited the strong members to aid in the removal of the dam. With the aid of a number of the farmers, this was quite the easy feat, and water now started to make its way towards the village, without creating a massive gush of water that could create problems.

Back in the city, the group first checked on the Moth Priest they had met, fearing that he was the person Bralen and his associates had interrogated to get the information about Thorvesad. He was safe and sound, however, and so they decided to meet up with Bralen for his updates. Bralen updated them about the Thorvesad situation, stating that he is a strong Dremora who is leading a new cult in his attempt to return Ithelia from the void. This was not something the party did not know, however, the cultist also said that he was interested in her return, even though he was in league with Hermeaus Mora, the one who had banished Ithelia in the first place. He also stated that he was going to go to Apocrapha and bring back as many books as possible related to this historic event and the related individuals and that he would meet the party again later. As a parting gift, Bralen gave the group a Sending Stone which they could use to communicate with him once a day. Furthermore, he said that he would be able to help them teleport to different locations if they needed, and that Thorvesad was last seen in Skyrim.

After the meeting with Bralen, the group went to meet with Elorenne Ashcroft. They gave her the lowdown about the whole Black Bow Bandits situation, and they got paid quite handsomely. Then, they mentioned that a nobleman was missing and that they were willing to rescue him on her behalf, indebting the nobleman to her. This idea, and the group’s attitude and willingness to work outside the usual norms, pleased the noblewoman from High Rock, and she agreed to paid them a good sum, even if they returned his dead body.
