Once the group agreed about the terms of their new quest, they made it to Bruma to start looking for the missing young nobleman, Dexion Marinus. When the group made it to this small city, some villagers noted that Lord Marinus was seen leaving the city towards the East, and that about a week later, a group of knights came through looking for him, and even they have not returned. And so the group travelled Eastwards, finding a shrine to Namira along the way. In this area, some of the more perceptive members of the group noticed heavy footsteps walking around, perhaps looking for someone. These footsteps were then followed into the woods to the North, where the party found a manor in a large clearing, surrounded by a high wall, including two guard towers. As soon as the group was close enough, arrows were let loose from the towers, as the guards there seemingly did not want anyone to enter through the open gate into the manor’s courtyard.

However, with ranged attacks as well as fast melee combatants managing to find doors into the towers and reaching the archers quickly, the guards of this estate were quickly eliminated. However, Z noticed that when she decapitated one of the archers, his eyes were a pale white. This was immediately reverted to normal once the archer was slain. Apart from a few corpses of servants and guardsmen, nothing else was of notice in this courtyard, and so the group started making the way inside. Once inside, they met a few servants who also had pale eyes and attacked the group on sight. They were easily dispatched and the group moved on into the Great Hall of the manor, where they found a collapsed part of the ground into what looked like some kind of cellar or dungeon.
