Passing through Passwall

After their meeting with Haskill, the group found themselves in The Fringe, a small area of the Shivering Isles where people must show they are worthy of entering the Shivering Isles proper. This should be done by either slaying the Gatekeeper at the Gates of Madness, or by receiving Sheogorath’s gift, madness. Among the strange and otherworldly flora of this location, the group make their way to a small village just an hour’s walk away, called Passwall. The mayor there, a Redguard by the name of Shelden, explained how they can get out of The Fringe, and told the group about the denizens of the town. The group then tried to bargain with a mage’s apprentice to get some information about the Gatekeeper, but Nanette Don asked them to bring her some items from a dangerous location as payment for the information. Since it was late, they rested at the Wastrel’s Purse, where Dredhwen catered to them ever so graciously.

Early in the morning, the Bush Nights made their way towards Xeddefen, the ruins mentioned by Nanette Don, where they found another person readying themselves to enter the dangerous ruins. Grakendo Udico, a captain of the Dark Seducers, the military of Dementia, one of the regions of the Shivering Isles, explained that she too is on the same quest set by Nanette Don, and she joined the group. This would make it easier for everybody to help them make their way into the Shivering Isles.
