Leaving the town of Passwall, the Bush Nights make their way towards the Gardens of Flesh and Bone. Once there, the group find a very run down complex of small buildings around a small courtyard; most of the area was overrun with vegetation, many walls and ceilings destroyed by old age, and bones lay scattered all around the courtyard itself. Although the location felt oppressive, nothing made a move against the group… at first. Going through the area, the group found a small temple-like room where they found a notebook with experiment notes written by Relmyna Verenim, detailing her previous experiments in creating the Gatekeeper. Furthermore, one of the rooms had a cave in to an underground chamber, from where a green gas was leaking upwards into the room. A glass vial was used to capture some of this for the creation of the Gatekeeper. They then made their way towards another room, where they again found a destroyed flooring. Looking into the hole, they spotted some strange fungi which could be another one of the required ingredients. The group started making their way underground, where a gold-skinned warrior in gold armor threatened them with a sword in order to defend herself from a group of fighters.
Aurig Desha, the Golden Saint hidden away in this underground cave, mentioned that she was looking for the ingredients to rebuild the Gatekeeper, and that she had already found Blood Liquor for it. She also mentioned that she had to fight her way into the area, multiple skeletons had risen to fight her. While underground, the group found the mushrooms with a bone-like texture that they needed, but as they made their way out, skeletons started forming out of the bones on the ground. The group tried to stealthily flee over the walls of this space, but found that they were magically trapped here until they destroyed their foes. The skeletons were an easy task to deal with, however, their bones immediately started levitating, swirling in a pink magical aura, until they formed a massive Bone Colossus at the center of the courtyard. With a great roar, the colossus was ready to take on these home invaders.
