The Surrender of Fate

Having helped Torvesad to get to this point, the group decided to take his side, fighting back the Warlocks summoned by Hermaeus Mora, as well as their summoned Daedric creatures. Torvesad and Ithelia were also fending off Mora’s minions, Ithelia by summoning her own crystalline creatures, and Torvesad slamming his massive maul into his enemies. Aiding the group from the back line was Bralen, covered in sweat, as he fought back the forces of his former master.

Halfway through this fight however, Bralen was teleported out of the area by Hermaeus Mora himself, stating that ‘they need to talk’. Furthermore, Mora conjured up what he called a Mirror of Truth, which shone a bright green light, and halted Ithelia herself in the fight. After a moment, the group saw a projection of an ancient memory, where Ithelia was discussing with Torvesad how she was planning to eliminate Hermaeus Mora. However, Ithelia seemed to have seen much more that that, as she immediately surrendered, stating that Mora was right, and that she was destined to only bring doom to the mortals and their world.

Devestated, Torvesad did not accept this turn of events. As Ithelia was siphoning her power into a large hovering crystal, he ran up to her and siphoned that raw power into his body. Growing up to a massive gigantic form, he took control of Ithelia’s summoned creatures, and conjured a rain of crystals, as he fought his former companions back, in an attempt to flee with his mistress’ power, in order to finish what they started. It took some effort, but he was summarily defeated.

What followed was a lengthy discussion between the so called ‘heroes’, also sometimes called ‘prisoners’, who were destined to be involved in Ithelia’s return or final demise. Mora even gave the group more information about the real events that took place eons passed. By the end of it, Mora offered to teleport the group to a location of their choosing. Knowing that they wanted to scout and deal with a lumbercamp in a forest close to Flakreath, that’s where they chose to be shunted, and so scouted the area and rested, getting ready to deal with Imperial defectors, on behalf of the Empire back in Cyrodiil.
